Biography
Dr. Mark Van Ness is currently an associate professor of English Communications at Mount Angel Seminary and an adjunct ESOL instructor at Portland Community College. He has been an EFL/ESL instructor for more than 15 years and spent eight years studying and teaching in the People’s Republic of China. Mark graduated in 2011 with a PhD in Intercultural Education. His dissertation is entitled, Honoring Voices: Understanding and Communicating Respect in Adult ESL Contexts.
