Dirk Lagerwaard

At the age of 19, Dirk moved from the Netherlands to Barcelona. While studying English Philology at the University of Barcelona and taking a Master’s degree in English Language Teaching at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, he obtained teaching experience in various institutions. Inspired by the Sociocultural-Theory, he is currently working on a PhD about agency-oriented communication. In his classroom, co-knowledge, interaction and agency are fundamental for language learning.
