Celebrating Women In ELT

Reflect, Empower, Act

Celebrate the “herstory” of ELT and the key women who’ve shaped the industry. Examine how gender affects classroom dynamics for students and teachers today. Take part in workshops to discover powerful tools to help you thrive in your career. Take part in a conversation on gender, feminism and issues that affect women, in ELT, education and life.

LEARNER EXPERIENCE DESIGN FOR THE CLASSROOM

A new way of thinking about course design and delivery in ELT

ELTjam’s Learner Experience Design (LXD) Framework was originally created to help people create more effective and engaging digital learning products. LXD looks at how good design works and adapts those principles to an educational context. But what does LXD look like when applied to a classroom setting, whether using technology or not? Come along to this PCE to find out how LXD works and how it could help you reimagine how you design and deliver your in-person or blended courses.

Give your Teaching the Coaching Twist

This event is for teachers who want successful students, not just successful lessons. It’s a shift that brings into focus what’s going on in the students’ English language lives outside class as well as what we do in class. It means engaging with students as individuals and supporting them in achieving their English learning goals. You will learn and practise basic coaching techniques for a range of teaching contexts, helping you empower your students and increase their chances of success.
