We are pleased to announce that we are providing ten Local Scholarships for InnovateELT in May. The scholarship will focus on local learner-centred innovation and the winners will receive a free ticket to the event. They will also get the chance to work with the iELT team to implement their ideas for innovation in their local context. The scholarship is available to anyone living and working in Catalunya and we must receive your submission by 9th April 2017.
Task: How could we improve the experience of learning English in Catalunya?
We want to hear your ideas for local innovation! What suggestions do you have that would help you and your learners in your teaching context? This could be anything from an app idea to a new teaching approach that would better suit your learners, or perhaps a set of tools or resources. We want to hear about anything that would improve the lives of learners and teachers in your context. Think outside the box, get creative and be innovative. Your suggestion could be something that is practical and easy to implement or a figment of your wild imagination.
Your suggestion must be submitted as a PDF that we can print and display at the conference as posters as well as share online. The document should clearly present your idea to conference delegates, who will be viewing it over the course of the weekend. Please include information on the following areas:
The top ten entries, as selected by the InnovateELT team, will receive a free ticket for the event. During the event, conference delegates will vote for the best entry overall and the winner will receive a free mentoring session from ELTjam and Oxford TEFL to explore implementing the idea and innovating local teaching practice.
Please send your PDF to firstname.lastname@example.org by 9th April 2017 at 6pm CET.
Winners will be announced and contacted by email on 18th April 2017. If you are a local teacher and have already bought a ticket for the event, we will refund you if you win one of the scholarship places.
